Outlier knives are designed with a purpose, crafted for you, and adaptable to any situation. Outlier’s goal is to bring experts in knife and tool design together to build products with high-quality materials that have real-world application.

Outlier Knife Co. is led by long-time knife designer and expert Rob “Filo” Cabrera. A driven professional and craftsman “Filo’s” management and technical experience spans over a career of 22 years in cartography, Land Surveying and GIS systems.

He is extremely proficient in cultivating team resolve to complete extremely difficult tasks. Whether it was coordinating crews in the Everglades or GIS/LIS projects in the Catskills Rob’s tenacity and focus on the mission is contagious.

The terrain has changed but the mission and objectives are the same! Execute craftsmanship and durability with “extreme precision and tenacity” to deliver a quality product to the end user that can be shared from generation to generation. This is achieved by taking the lessons learned over 2 decades of detail driven passion for high quality work and turning it into steel and putting it in your hands.

More than one person, Outlier Knife Co. brings together like-minded designers who dare to deviate from the norm of traditional blade and tool design. Outlier is proud to have the likes of Darrin Sirois, Hakim Isler, Kim Breed, Craig Caudill, and others as partners who have honed and crafted their trade for years in the industry. As Outliers, we pride themselves on designing blades for practical use in various situations.
